General booking conditions
Article 1 : This seasonal rental contract is reserved for the exclusive use of the rental of the Gîte l'Esquirou du Sécadou Classified 4 stars in the category of furnished tourist accommodation by DORDOGNE-PERIGORD-TOURISME-FRANCE.
Under no circumstances can the owner of Gîte L'Esquirou du Séchadou be held liable for the use of its contracts by third parties or for purposes other than tourism.
Article 2 - Length of stay : The tenant signing this contract concluded for a fixed term shall not under any circumstances claim any right to remain on the premises after the end of the stay.
Article 3 - Conclusion of the contract : The reservation becomes effective once the tenant has sent the owner a bank transfer for the full rental amount and a signed copy of the contract. The tenant should keep a second copy.
The lease agreement concluded between the parties to this document may not under any circumstances benefit third parties, whether natural or legal persons, even partially, except with the written agreement of the owner.
Any breach of this last paragraph would be liable to result in the immediate termination of the lease at the tenant's expense, the amount of the lease remaining definitively non-refundable.
Article 4 - absence of withdrawal : For reservations made by mail, telephone or internet, the tenant does not benefit from the withdrawal period, in accordance with article L121-21-8 of the consumer code relating in particular to accommodation services provided on a specific date or at specific intervals.
Article 5 -Cancellation by the tenant : All cancellations must be notified to the owner by registered letter or email.
a) Cancellation before arrival: The client may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 5 days before arrival. To receive a refund, the client must provide their bank details (RIB) to the landlord. Within 5 days of arrival, the reservation is non-refundable.
b) If the tenant does not arrive within 24 hours of the arrival date indicated on the contract, this contract becomes null and void and the owner may make the property available to other guests. The reservation is non-refundable.
c) If the stay is shortened, the rental price remains due to the owner. No refund will be issued.
Article 6 - Cancellation by the owner : The owner shall refund to the tenant all sums paid.
Article 7 - Arrival : The tenant must arrive on the date and at the time specified in this contract. In case of late or delayed arrival, the tenant must notify the owner.
Article 8 - Inventory : An inventory is drawn up jointly and signed by the tenant and the owner or their representative upon arrival and departure from the property. This inventory constitutes the sole reference in the event of a dispute concerning the condition of the premises.
The cleanliness of the cottage upon the tenant's arrival must be noted in the inventory. Cleaning is the tenant's responsibility during the rental period and before departure. A security deposit of 80 euros will be required upon arrival to cover cleaning costs.
Article 9 - Security deposit : Upon arrival of the tenant, a security deposit, the amount of which is indicated on the front of this contract, is requested by the owner. After the joint establishment of the exit condition report, this deposit is returned, less the cost of restoring the premises if any damage was found.
In the event of early departure (before the time mentioned in this contract) preventing the establishment of the inventory of fixtures on the day of the tenant's departure, the security deposit will be returned by the owner within a period not exceeding one week.
Article 10 - Use of the premises : The tenant agrees not to bring any additional people without the landlord's permission, not to sublet the accommodation, to use the premises peacefully, and to take out insurance against rental risks.
Article 11 - Capacity : This contract is established for a maximum capacity of 4 people. If the number of tenants exceeds the maximum capacity, the owner may refuse entry to the additional persons. Any modification or termination of the contract will be considered to be at the client's initiative.
Article 12 – Pets : This contract specifies whether or not the tenant may stay with a pet. If this clause is not respected, the owner may refuse the stay: no refund will be issued. If applicable, the property description specifies any additional charges that may apply (additional security deposit, additional cleaning fee, etc.).
Article 13 - Insurance : The tenant is responsible for all damages caused by them. A civil liability insurance policy or temporary holiday rental insurance may cover you, depending on your policy, in the event of unintentional damage.
Article 14 - Payment of charges : The tourist tax is payable on the day of arrival. At the end of the stay, the tenant must pay the owner for any charges not included in the price.
Their amount is established on the basis of calculation mentioned on this contract and in the descriptive sheet and proof is provided by the owner.
Article 15 - Disputes : Any claim relating to the condition of the premises and the condition of the description during a rental, must be submitted to the landlord by letter with acknowledgment of receipt within three days of entering the premises.
